3 Seater Outdoor Dining Tables
These are the small outdoor tables, the sizes that seat two or three people. They are what a balcony, a courtyard corner or a cafe terrace actually needs, where a full dining table would fill the space and never get used.
Most of the range is Nardi complete tables, sold as a base and an HPL top together. HPL is high pressure laminate, a dense compressed board that handles sun, rain and cleaning chemicals without swelling, and it is the surface to choose for a table that stays outside permanently.
Five bases are stocked and the difference between them is how the table behaves when you are not using it:
- Fiore, a fixed base, the standard choice for a table that stays put.
- Frasca Mini Fix, a fixed base with a smaller footprint for tight spaces.
- Frasca Maxi, a larger fixed base for more stability under a bigger top.
- Scudo, Flute and Ibisco, all folding bases, so the table can be packed down at the end of the day or over winter.
Tops come in eight finishes across the range: White, Tortora, Anthracite, Legno, Agave Green, Tobacco, Corten and Cement. Not every finish is available on every base, so check the individual product.
Alongside the Nardi tables, Pebl supplies aluminium in the Sunset range at 70cm round, 70 x 70cm square and 96.5cm, plus the Hilo 60cm round adjustable table, which changes height so it works as a side table or a low dining table. Bahza offers a 120cm round ceramic top, and the Nardi Piave squares at 70cm, 80cm and 90cm also sit in this size band.
If your space is exposed, choose a folding base. A light outdoor table left out in a summer storm is the one piece of furniture most likely to end up in the pool.

Outdoor 3 Seater Tables - FAQs

-
What is a three seater outdoor table?
It is a small footprint table, generally round or square, sized for two or three chairs rather than a full dining setting. This is the table for a balcony, a courtyard corner, a small terrace, or a second table beside a lounge. Note that a few larger tables are also listed in this range, such as the Bahza 120cm round which seats up to six, so check the size on the product page.
-
What sizes are in this range?
Round tables at 60cm, 70cm and 96.5cm, square tables at 70cm, 80cm and 90cm, and a 120cm round. That covers a two seat balcony table at the small end through to a four to six seat table at the large end. Measure the space with the chairs pulled out, because a table that fits the footprint can still block the only walkway.
-
What are the table base and top bundles about?
Several Nardi tables are built as a base plus a separate top, and this range offers them as complete bundles so you do not have to work out the pairing yourself. The bases are the Fiore, the Scudo folding base and the Frasca Maxi, each offered with an HPL top in Legno, Tortora, White, Anthracite, Agave Green, Tobacco, Corten or Cement. Same base, eight different looks.
-
What is HPL or compact laminate?
HPL stands for high pressure laminate, also called compact laminate. It is a solid core sheet, not a veneer over a board, which is why it works outdoors: it takes rain, heat and UV, resists scratching, and wipes clean with no sealing or oiling. It is also thin and light for its strength, which is how these tables get a slim top on a slender base.
-
What is a folding base for?
The Scudo base folds, which matters in three situations: a venue that packs its outdoor area away at close, a balcony that has to double as a walkway, and storage over winter. A folding table takes a little more care in a windy spot than a fixed one, so if the table lives out permanently in an exposed position, a fixed base is the better choice.
-
What is the Pebl Hilo adjustable table?
The Hilo is a 60cm round table that winds up and down between 46.5cm and 66.5cm, so it is a coffee table in front of a lounge at the low setting and a low dining table you can eat a proper meal at from the same chairs at the high setting. Nothing comes apart and nothing gets stored in the shed. The top is ceramic and the frame is aluminium.
-
Which of these tables suit permanent outdoor use?
The HPL topped Nardi tables, the ceramic topped tables and the aluminium framed Pebl Sunset tables are all built to stay out year round: no rust, no fading and no annual sealing. Wipe them down with warm water and a mild detergent, and rinse with fresh water in a coastal position. In a very exposed spot, a cover keeps tree debris and grime off but is not needed to protect the materials.
