Choosing Nardi Frasca Table Bases

The Frasca range works differently to a standard fixed table — it's built from separate aluminium bases and resin or laminate tops, so a venue can standardise on one base system and vary height, folding option and finish across different areas without buying a completely different table range for each.

Base height is the first decision. The Mini base suits standard dining-height seating around 72-75cm, while the High base is built for bar-height stools around 100-110cm — the same distinction that applies across most commercial table ranges. A Maxi base is also available, paired in a bundled five-piece setting with Nardi Trill armchairs for venues wanting a ready-made table and chair combination rather than sourcing each separately.

Fix versus Folding matters most for venues with limited floor space. A Fix base stays permanently assembled and suits a fixed alfresco setting that won't move. A Folding base collapses flat for storage, which suits cafes that need to clear outdoor seating overnight, clean underneath tables, or free up space for an event — without needing a second storage table range.

Finish options run across Agave, Anthracite, Tortora, White and Tabacco, giving enough range to match a Frasca base to existing Nardi chairs, stools or other tables already on site. Because the system is modular, a venue can also mix base heights within the one finish — Mini bases for the main dining area and High bases for a separate bar zone — while keeping a consistent look throughout.

All Frasca bases are built from aluminium, so there's no rust risk in coastal air, and the full Nardi range is CATAS tested to European EN 581 and EN 1728 standards and EN 15373 Level 3, the contract grade used for commercial and hospitality furniture — a relevant check if you're furnishing a licensed venue that needs to meet contract seating requirements rather than domestic-grade furniture.
