Outdoor 5 Seater Lounges
A five piece outdoor lounge setting is the size that suits most Australian courtyards and covered patios: enough seating for a household plus guests, without swallowing the whole area.
Four settings are stocked:
- Nardi Komodo 5 Piece modular corner lounge, in UV stabilised Italian resin, arranged as a corner run so it follows two walls of a courtyard rather than sitting in the middle of it.
- Nardi Komodo 5 Piece with Sunbrella cushions, the same setting upgraded to solution dyed acrylic covers.
- Siena Outdoor Lounge Collection.
- Onda Curved Modular Lounge Collection, where the curve suits a space that a straight run of seating fights against.
The Komodo is modular, which is worth understanding as a buying decision rather than a feature. The five piece is a starting configuration, not a fixed product, so you can add a middle module or a daybed later and it will match, because Nardi keeps the range in production rather than refreshing it seasonally.
On cushions: Sunbrella is solution dyed, meaning the colour goes through the fibre rather than sitting on it, so it holds up under sustained UV far better. If the setting will sit in unshaded northern sun, that is the version to buy.

Outdoor 5 Seater Lounges - FAQs

-
What is a five seater outdoor lounge?
It is a lounge setting that seats five, usually as a corner or curved arrangement rather than a straight row. Five is the size that works in most real outdoor spaces: enough to seat a family or a group of friends properly, without needing the floor area of a full modular run. Most are modular, so the five seats can be arranged more than one way.
-
What does the Nardi Komodo 5 include?
The Komodo 5 lounge set is a five seat modular corner lounge built from Komodo modules. Because Komodo is fully modular you can set it out as shown or in your own layout, and add further modules later. The backrests and armrests clip on from any side, which is what makes the same pieces work as a corner, a straight run or a facing pair.
-
Why are the frame and the cushions sold separately?
Because they are two independent choices and Nardi lets you make them separately. The Komodo 5 Frame and the Komodo 5 Cushions are listed as separate products, and there are also complete sets that bundle both. Buying separately means you pick the frame colour and the cushion fabric independently, and you can replace tired cushions years later without touching the frames. Just make sure you order both.
-
What frame colours are available?
Anthracite, Agave Green, Tortora and White. The resin is UV treated and mass coloured, so the colour runs right through the material instead of sitting on the surface, which means a scratch does not show up as a different colour underneath and there is nothing to repaint.
-
What cushion fabrics can I choose?
Cushions come in Nardi acrylic and in Sunbrella, and the difference matters. Nardi acrylic is yarn dyed and water repellent, with some natural colour variation between pieces. Sunbrella is solution dyed, giving the strongest resistance to fading, mould and staining, which makes it the better choice in constant full sun. Check the current colour options on the product page, because the fabric list changes.
-
Corner, curved or a straight lounge layout?
The Komodo 5 is a corner layout, which uses a corner of the space efficiently and is the right answer against two walls. The Onda is a five piece curved lounge, two curved two seater modules with a corner module and two nested ceramic topped coffee tables, which suits an open space seen from all sides. The Siena five piece is a three seater with two lounge chairs, which is the most conventional and the easiest to fit.

How do I look after a five seater lounge outdoors?
Wash resin and aluminium frames with warm water, a mild detergent and a soft brush, and rinse with fresh water in a coastal or poolside position. The frames are made to stay out. Cushions need the attention: dry them fully after rain, do not store them damp, and cover them or bring them in over a long unused period. On a five seater the cushion area is large, so a cover saves real cleaning time.
