Nardi Alloro Range

Alloro is Nardi's extendable outdoor dining table, made in two lengths. The 210 opens to 280cm, taking it from eight seats to twelve, on a resin top and a powder coated aluminium frame in a two tone White and Tortora finish.

The extension leaf is integrated, so it lifts up out of the table rather than being carried from a shed. Talk to our team about your everyday and entertaining numbers, and we will check the extended footprint against the space before you order. The tables are also sold as complete settings with the Palma resin armchair, in 7, 9 and 11 piece configurations.

Nardi Alloro Range - FAQs

  1. What is in the Alloro range?
Alloro is Nardi's extendable outdoor dining table, made in two lengths. The larger runs from 210cm out to 280cm and the smaller is the Alloro 140. The top is polypropylene resin on a powder coated aluminium frame, and the 210 comes in a two tone White and Tortora finish. On this shelf the tables are also sold as complete settings with the Palma resin armchair, in 7, 9 and 11 piece configurations, and Palma is available separately in sets of six.
  2. What sizes does the Alloro table come in?
There are two. The Alloro 140 is the smaller table and suits a courtyard or deck. The Alloro 210 opens out to 280cm, which takes it from seating up to eight closed to seating up to twelve fully extended. When you are choosing between them, work from the extended figure rather than the closed one, because that is the number that decides whether the table can actually do the job you are buying it for.
  3. Which chairs go with the Alloro table?
Alloro is sold with the Palma outdoor resin armchair, and the two are offered together as 7, 9 and 11 piece settings. The piece count includes the table, so a 7 piece is one table and six chairs and an 11 piece is one table and ten. Palma is also available on its own and in sets of six, which is useful if you want a different chair count to the standard settings or are adding chairs to a table you already own.
  4. How does the Alloro extension work?
The extension leaf is integrated into the table rather than being a separate panel. You pull the top apart and the extra section lifts up into place, so there is no leaf to carry in from a shed and nothing that can go missing between uses. The change takes seconds and one person can do it. Keep the runners clean, because grit in the mechanism is the thing that makes any extendable table stiff, and rinsing when you wash the top prevents it.
  5. How much space do I need around an Alloro table?
Plan the space at the extended length, not the closed length. For the Alloro 210 that means working from 280cm rather than 210cm. Leave roughly a metre beyond each end of the table so chairs can pull out properly when it is at full stretch, and allow walking room around the outside of that. Measuring at the closed length is the most common mistake made when buying an extendable table, and it only becomes obvious on the first occasion you extend it.
  6. Can I order Alloro settings in quantity for a venue?
Yes. Outdoor Furniture Ideas supplies Alloro to venues that need a flexible floor, laid out as small tables through the week and joined up for a function. Trade accounts are available with volume pricing. Our team can quote settings in quantity, confirm colour availability across the full chair count and stage delivery to suit a fit out program. Send through the floor plan and the cover numbers and we will work out how many extendable tables the room actually needs.

The Alloro Extendable Tables

Alloro is Nardi's extendable outdoor dining table, made in two lengths. It exists for the household that eats as four most nights and as ten at Christmas, without owning two tables.

On this shelf the tables are also sold as complete settings with the Palma resin armchair.

  • Alloro 140, the smaller extendable table
  • Alloro 210 to 280cm, seating up to eight closed and up to twelve extended
  • Palma armchairs, sold singly, in sets of six, and in 7, 9 and 11 piece settings

Resin Top on a Powder Coated Aluminium Frame

The top is polypropylene resin and the frame is powder coated aluminium, in a two tone White and Tortora finish on the 210. Resin does not need sealing or oiling, does not split, and can be left out through a wet season.

Aluminium keeps the weight down, which matters more on an extendable table than a fixed one, because the top is handled every time the table changes length.

How the Extension Works

The extension leaf is integrated rather than separate. You pull the top apart and the extra section lifts up into place, so there is no leaf to carry from a shed and nowhere for it to go missing.

On the Alloro 210 that takes the table from 210cm, seating up to eight, out to 280cm, seating up to twelve. The change takes seconds and one person can do it.

Extendable vs a Fixed Long Table

A fixed 280cm table seats twelve every day of the year, including the days when two people eat at it and the rest of the terrace is unusable. An extendable table gives that space back for the other fifty weeks. The trade is a joint in the top and a mechanism to look after.

The rule. Choose extendable where the everyday number and the entertaining number are more than four apart. Choose fixed where the table is nearly always full.

Clearance, Cleaning and the Mechanism

Allow the extended length in the plan, not the closed length, and leave a metre beyond each end so chairs can pull out when the table is at full stretch.

Keep the runners clean. Grit in the mechanism is what makes an extendable table stiff, and a rinse when you wash the top prevents it.

How to Choose an Alloro Setting

Step 1. Count both numbers. Everyday covers and entertaining covers. The gap between them decides whether extendable is worth it.

Step 2. Pick the length. Alloro 140 for a courtyard, the 210 to 280 where twelve need to sit.

Step 3. Plan the extended footprint. Measure at 280cm plus chair room, not at 210cm.

Step 4. Choose the setting size. Palma armchairs come as 7, 9 and 11 piece settings, or in sets of six.
