Nardi Komodo Range
Komodo is Nardi's modular outdoor lounge system, moulded in fibre glass resin rather than plain polypropylene. You buy elements, a Poltrona single sofa, middles, ends, corners and a pouf, and join them, so the lounge is drawn to the space rather than picked off a page.
Frames come in four colours and cushions in seven, so a scheme is chosen twice. Talk to our team with the length of your wall or terrace edge and we will work out the element list, including the corner modules that are most often left off an order. Two of the cushion colours, grigio komodo and rosa quarzo, are Nardi Acrylic rather than Sunbrella.

Nardi Komodo Range - FAQs

What elements make up a Komodo lounge?
A Komodo lounge is assembled from elements rather than bought as a finished sofa. The set covers a Poltrona single sofa, middle modules, end modules called Elemento Terminale, corner modules called Elemento Angolo, and a pouf that closes a run or sits loose as a footrest. Two and three seat sofas are also available ready made. You start with an end, add middles for the length you need, and turn the run with a corner wherever the terrace does.

What is Komodo made from?
Komodo is moulded from fibre glass resin rather than the plain polypropylene used across most of the Nardi range. The glass fibre adds stiffness, which is what lets a modular element carry its own structure without a metal frame inside it, so the piece holds its shape under load. It is UV treated, resistant to atmospheric pollutants, non toxic and antistatic, and it carries the Nardi recyclable resin trademark for end of life recycling.

What is the Ombra sunshade?
Ombra is the sunshade built for the Komodo system, made in two sizes, Ombra 2 and Ombra 3. Because it is designed around Komodo rather than being a general parasol, it integrates with the lounge modules instead of needing a separate freestanding base taking up floor space. It is the piece to consider where the terrace has no other shade, since a resin lounge in full afternoon sun becomes uncomfortable long before it becomes damaged.
-
What cushion colours does Komodo come in?
The Komodo frames come in four colours and the cushions run to seven, so a Komodo scheme is effectively chosen twice, once for the resin and once for the fabric. It is worth knowing that two of the cushion colours, grigio komodo and rosa quarzo, are Nardi Acrylic rather than Sunbrella. Both are genuine outdoor fabrics, but the two families do not carry identical shades, so check which you are ordering before committing to a colour.

What is the difference between Komodo and Maximo?
Both are modular systems that build the same way and both take cushions. Komodo is moulded in fibre glass resin, which is stiffer and heavier, so it reads as a permanent part of the terrace. Maximo is plain resin, lighter in both material and appearance, and easier to rearrange. Choose Komodo where the lounge is built once and stays where it is put, and Maximo where the layout may change or the space suits a lighter looking piece.

Can I order Komodo in quantity for a project?
Yes. Outdoor Furniture Ideas supplies Komodo to hotels, clubs, restaurants and landscape projects as well as to homes. Trade accounts are available with volume pricing. Because a modular lounge is a plan rather than a single product, our team can work the element list up from your drawings, confirm frame and cushion colour availability across the full quantity, and stage delivery to suit a build program rather than sending everything at once.
