Nardi Cushions
Nardi cushions come in two kinds. Rettangolare and Passepartout are the standard shapes and carry the widest colour choice. The rest are cut for a specific chair, so a Net cushion fits a Net chair and nothing else.
The fabrics split too. Sunbrella is solution dyed so the colour sits in the fibre, and Nardi Acrylic covers the shades outside that book. Tell our team the Nardi model name before the colour, because ordering on colour alone is how the wrong shape arrives. Standard shapes run from Adriatic Blue and Ghiaccio Blue through Jungle Green, Avocado, Senape Mustard, Denim, Sardinia and White, and they are easier to match years later than a range cut.

Nardi Cushions - FAQs

-
What shapes do Nardi cushions come in?
There are two kinds. Rettangolare and Passepartout are the standard shapes, and they carry the widest colour choice across the range. The rest are cut for a specific chair, so a Net cushion fits a Net chair, a Folio cushion fits a Folio, and neither fits anything else. There is also a separate Eden sun lounge cushion. A range cut sits flat and does not overhang or slide off, because it was moulded around that particular shell.

What is the difference between Sunbrella and Nardi Acrylic?
Sunbrella is a solution dyed acrylic, which means the colour sits inside the fibre rather than being printed onto it. That is why it holds against sun and salt and can be cleaned hard without fading. Nardi Acrylic covers the shades Nardi produces outside the Sunbrella book, including Grigio, Grey Stone and Rose Quartz. Both are genuine outdoor fabrics, but the colour ranges are not identical, so the fabric family matters as much as the shade name.

How do I make sure I order the right cushion?
Start with the chair, not the colour. Write down the Nardi model name first, then work out whether there is a range cut for it or whether you need a standard Rettangolare or Passepartout. Only then choose the shade, and check which fabric family that shade belongs to. Ordering on colour alone is the single most common reason a cushion arrives that does not fit the chair it was bought for.
-
How should Nardi cushions be cleaned?
Clean with cold water and a mild detergent rather than anything harsh, and rinse thoroughly. The important part is drying: let a cushion dry completely before it is stored, because a damp cushion in a box is how mildew starts, and mildew is the one thing that does not simply wash out. Note that the Nardi brand hub covers general furniture care, so this answer is specifically about the fabrics rather than the resin.
-
Can cushions be left outside?
They can, but they will not last as long. Outdoor fabric is not the same thing as weatherproof fabric. Sunbrella and Nardi Acrylic both survive rain and sun perfectly well, and a cushion caught in a shower is not damaged. What shortens their life is sitting wet through a whole winter. A cushion that comes in over the cold months, or lives under a fitted cover between uses, will hold its colour and its loft considerably longer.

Can I order cushions in quantity for a venue?
Yes. Outdoor Furniture Ideas supplies Nardi cushions in quantity to venues, where matching replacements years after a fit out matters far more than the original order does. Trade accounts are available with volume pricing. Our team can check colour continuity before you commit to a shade across a whole floor, which is worth doing, because a colour that moves on leaves you unable to match the floor you already have.
