1. How do the Nardi chair families differ?
   There are a lot of designs doing broadly similar jobs, and three things actually separate them. The first is arms, since most families are made as both an armchair and an armless bistrot chair. The second is the back, which is either perforated, ribbed or a solid shell. The third is material, because almost everything is moulded resin with the aluminium Musa as the exception. Everything else, including colour, follows those three decisions.
2. What are Nardi chairs made from?
   Almost every Nardi chair is single body moulded resin, formed as one piece with no joints, screws or welds anywhere in it. That is why nothing works loose, nothing rusts and nothing needs re-tightening, and it is the reason these chairs survive years of commercial handling and weather. The resin is UV stabilised and made in Italy. The Musa is the exception, using aluminium for a slimmer profile at more weight and less tight stacking.
3. Should I choose an armchair or an armless chair?
   An armchair is more comfortable for a long meal and gives a table more presence, which is why armchairs often go at the ends. An armless bistrot chair has a smaller footprint and tucks fully under the table, so more covers fit into the same courtyard. On a commercial floor the armless version usually wins on covers per square metre, and many venues compromise by putting armchairs only at the ends of each table.
4. What is the difference between a perforated and a solid back?
   A perforated back, as on the Net and Bit chairs, lets air and rainwater pass straight through. It drains fastest after a shower and it is noticeably cooler to sit on in direct sun. A solid or ribbed back, as on Trill, Bora, Costa or Doga, gives more visual weight and more support behind the shoulders, and it blocks wind rather than letting it through, which matters on an exposed terrace.
5. Are Nardi outdoor chairs stackable?
   Nearly all of them are, and it is one of the main reasons Nardi chairs are specified commercially. A floor clears quickly at close and goes back out in the morning without a struggle. Work out the stack height against your actual storage before ordering a large quantity, because a stack of forty chairs is considerably taller than most people picture. Weights are low across the range, generally between about 3.5kg and 5kg.
