1. What is a modular outdoor sofa?
   A modular sofa is bought as elements rather than as a finished piece. You choose a start, as many middle sections as the length needs, an end, and a corner wherever the run turns, and the lounge is assembled from those. The advantage is that the sofa fits the terrace exactly rather than approximately, it can be added to later, and a damaged element is replaced on its own rather than the whole sofa being replaced.
2. What modules make up a Komodo or Maximo layout?
   Both systems use the same vocabulary. There is a Poltrona single sofa, middle modules for the straight sections, end modules called Elemento Terminale that finish a run, corner modules called Angolo that turn it, and a pouf that either closes a run or sits loose as a footrest. Ready made two and three seat sofas are also available in both systems for a terrace that does not need a custom layout.
3. Do I buy modules individually or as a set?
   Either. Modules are sold individually, which is what you want when the lounge is being drawn to a specific space, and ready made two and three seat sofas are available for a simple rectangular terrace. The usual approach is to measure the run first, then decide. Where the space has a corner, a wall run or any likelihood of changing, individual modules are worth the extra thought at the specification stage.
4. What is the difference between Komodo and Maximo?
   Komodo is moulded in fibre glass resin, which is stiffer and heavier, so it reads as a permanent part of the terrace and holds its shape well under load. Maximo is plain resin, lighter in both material and appearance, and easier to move or rearrange. Maximo also carries the wider accessory set, including round tables, the Tavolino and fitted covers. Choose Komodo where the lounge stays put, Maximo where the layout may change.
5. Do the sofas include cushions?
   It depends on the line, so check the individual listing rather than assuming. The resin structure is what stays outside permanently, and the cushions are a separate decision. Komodo runs seven cushion colours and Maximo four frame colours, so a scheme is chosen twice, once for the resin and once for the fabric. Whichever you choose, work out where the cushions will be stored before the order goes in.
