Nardi Piave Table Range
Piave is Nardi's compact table range, a high pressure laminate top on powder coated aluminium legs. It runs squares at 70cm, 80cm and 90cm, rectangles at 120 by 70cm, 140 by 80cm and 160 by 90cm, and a 70cm square bar table.
The HPL top resists UV, moisture and scratching, so it is wiped down rather than covered, oiled or sealed. What is the Piave table top made from?
The Piave top is high pressure laminate, usually shortened to HPL. It is a dense board that resists UV, moisture and scratching, which is why a Piave table can be left outside and simply wiped down rather than covered, oiled or sealed. The legs are powder coated aluminium, so they do not rust and the table stays light enough for one person to move. The whole table is made in Italy, and the combination gives a hard wearing surface without the weight of stone.

What is the Piave 70 High bar table?
The Piave 70 High is the bar height version of the 70cm square table. It has the same footprint on the floor as the dining height 70cm, so it fits the same space, but it stands at counter height for use with bar stools rather than dining chairs. It suits a standing edge, a small bar area or a balcony where a raised table makes better use of a view. It is sold in settings with Net, Trill, Doga and Cassia bar stools.

Should I choose a square or a rectangular Piave?
A square table seats people evenly around it and takes less floor for the same number of covers, which is why cafes use them. A rectangle seats more per square metre in a run and is easier to push together for a large group. Circulation matters as much as seating: a square sitting free in the middle of a small courtyard leaves walking space on all four sides, while a rectangle pushed against a wall wastes none of the floor behind it.

Which chairs is Piave sold with?
Piave is offered in complete settings with the Cassia chair, in 5, 7 and 9 piece configurations using either the Cassia armchair or the armless Cassia bistrot chair. The Piave 70 bar table is sold as a 5 piece setting with a choice of bar stool, including Net, Trill, Doga and Cassia. There is also a compact laminate Piave table offered as a 7 piece setting with Aero armchairs, for a slightly different look at the same tray of sizes.
