The Adela side chair and bar stool are the same design at two heights, so a courtyard with both a dining table and a bar leaner can be furnished from one look. Check the stool's seat height against your bar top before ordering, because bar and counter heights are not the same measurement and a stool that is 100mm out is uncomfortable in a way people notice within one drink.
Aluminium and steel behave differently outdoors and it is worth knowing which you have bought. Aluminium does not rust at all, so the Adela chairs suit coastal and poolside use where salt is in the air. Powder coated steel is heavier and more stable in wind, which is the better trait on an exposed rooftop or a windy verandah.
Timber seats last far longer with some shade and an occasional oil. Constant direct sun greys the surface and eventually raises the grain, so a chair that spends summer under a pergola will still look new when one left in the open has weathered. The metal frame is unaffected either way.
