It is handcrafted in Australia from treated pine sleepers with smooth pine decking. The treatment is what lets the bench live permanently outdoors rather than under cover, protecting the timber against rot, decay and insect attack, so it can go straight into the garden with nothing built over it.
At 2070mm long it seats three adults comfortably, and the 470mm seat height is the standard height people are used to, so it sits naturally alongside an outdoor table. Finish it or let it weather. Bare treated pine silvers off over the first couple of seasons to a soft grey that suits a planted garden. A seal or stain holds a warmer colour and needs recoating when the finish starts to lift, which in full sun is usually every couple of seasons.

Care & Cleaning
Wash down with warm soapy water and a soft brush, then rinse clean. Keep the seat and the base clear of standing water and leaf litter, and check the fixings once a year. If the bench has been sealed or stained, recoat when the finish starts to lift. Do not use solvents or aggressive cleaners on the timber.
