Australian-made Outdoor Timber Bench Seat

A bench you can leave outside and forget about. Two metres of treated pine decking over pine sleeper legs, handcrafted in Australia, with a back rest that takes it past the usual park bench and makes it somewhere people actually stay and sit. At 2070mm long it seats three comfortably, and the 470mm seat height is the standard everyone is used to.

Treated pine is the reason this bench lives outdoors rather than under cover: the treatment is what protects the timber against rot, decay and insect attack, so the bench can go straight into a garden bed, along a path or beside a pool without a shelter over it. It is a solid, heavy build rather than a light one, which is what keeps it steady on uneven ground. The timber is left ready to seal or stain if you want to hold a colour, and it carries a nine month manufacturing warranty from the time of purchase.

Care and cleaning

Wash down with warm soapy water and a soft brush and rinse clean. Keep the seat and the base clear of standing water and leaf litter, and check the fixings once a year. If the bench has been sealed or stained, recoat when the finish starts to lift.

Timber is a natural material, so grain, knots and colour vary from piece to piece and the surfaces will weather over time. The warranty is a nine month manufacturing warranty from the time of purchase and does not cover general maintenance.
