Rinse the rope with fresh water and wipe it down with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid solvents, bleach and abrasive pads. Let cushions dry fully after rain rather than covering them damp, and in coastal areas rinse more often to clear salt spray. Use a cover or store it under shelter through long periods out of use.
